Electric guitar help? (i’m a beginner)?

okay, i have a yamaha Classical Guitar at home but i don’t know any notes or anything. i mostly do chords and some tabs here and there, and i’m looking into buying an electric guitar. mostly i wanna play green day punk type music, and i want to know what affordable good quality guitar can i get. should i go with the yamaha Electric Guitars? i heard those are cheap but dunno about their quality yet. people have been telling me to buy fender, but i’m unsure whether it’s affordable here in the philippines. (considering it’s an american brand) any ideas guys? this is gonna be my first electric guitar, so i want to make this one count.

The lower the price (unless you catch one on sale) the crappier the Yamaha it is.

Yamaha make eccelent guitars, if you get a higher end one. There are websites you can order from, but my recomendation would be a Fender Telecaster rather than a Strat.

also look into Jackson Dinky’s you can get a lower end one, and even the lower end one’s are great.

Dean’s are affordable cheap, really nice guitars for beginners.

Schekter may have some too, I know they aren’t horribly expensive.

You could even try an Epiphone Les Paul, or SG

I agree with the guy that said go to the store and try them out, what’s comfortable in your hand may not be comfortable for me. You have to play around with guitars in your price range, and see how you like them.

It’s all about if you like the sound, and how the guitar plays to you, because we aren’t the ones stuck with it if you don’t like it.
