would these monitors be big enough to play with my band at a gig?
we have 2 guitars,drums,bass and we would be using these 2 monitors for singing. would it work? it is for a microphone, isnt it? and would it be loud enough??

You have to place them slightly, at an angle, facing you so that you can hear it and secondly, to cut the feedback. These speakers are fine for what you want to do.
As for the microcphone, get a good PA Amplifier due to the frequency of the microphone. The RMS rating is not the same for home theater and live music performance.
